ABSTRACT

The goal of the current study is to comprehend the factors that influence a decision to use telemedicine for healthcare. India saw a massive surge in the use of telemedicine services in the year 2020-21, with teleconsultations increasing by almost 300%. Lockdowns and Covid-19 limitations sped up the introduction of telemedicine services. The advantages of telemedicine healthcare services, however, have not yet reached the vast majority of the population. A pilot survey is done, and a study framework is suggested, to better understand the factors that influence people's decisions to use telemedicine healthcare services. The following variables are taken into account for the study: personal norms, telemedicine use expectation, knowledge, telemedicine usage, initial satisfaction, and covid phobia -19 (CP-19). The suggested framework is then put to the test using SEM (Structural equation modelling), and a good model fit was found. Policymakers and marketers can use the findings to increase the acceptance of telemedicine healthcare services among the general public in order to promote convenience, accessibility, and healthy living.

ABSTRACT

In the era of post-covid-19, new trends have emerged in healthcare services and healthcare access. Diabetic patients are more concerned about their health care services as social awareness is increased. This study aims to investigate the role of diabetic emotional burden and healthcare services as a moderator in the relationship between interpersonal distress, physician & nurse distress, and access to healthcare. The population of this study was the patients with diabetes in different public and private hospitals from Kerala state of India. The study concludes diabetic emotional burden and health care services positively moderate the relationship between interpersonal distress and access to healthcare. This research is a contribution to knowledge as no study earlier was conducted to discuss this gap in the literature. This study has practical and theoretical implications concerned to improve the access to the healthcare system for diabetic patients in Kerala and the rest of the world.Copyright © 2022, Lab and Life Press. ABSTRACT

In the recent decade, the spread of COVID-19 has shown significant negative effect on the entrepreneurship activities. Particularly, it destroyed the income generating activities of poor people. Most importantly, the women entrepreneurship activities are disturbed badly which causes to increase the poverty level among women. COVID-19 restrictions limit the women entrepreneurship activities in Telangana state of India. It leads towards the vulnerable condition of women living in Telangana. Therefore, the current study proposed a framework to deal with this issue. This study proposed that;microfinance has the potential to promote women entrepreneurship activities during COVID-19. Microfinance services has vital role to enhance women entrepreneurship activities through various services which may lead to reduce the negative effect of COVID-19. Based on Mayoux's Feminist Empowerment Theory, the current study proposed that;credit, saving and insurance from microfinance institutions can promote women entrepreneurship practices through women decision making. In addition to this, the current study proposed that;previous entrepreneurial experience also has moderating role to strengthen the positive relationship between women decision making and women entrepreneurship. © 2021. ABSTRACT

The coronavirus disease 2019 is a disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 and continues to pose a global threat resulting in thousands of deaths. In the absence of effective therapeutics, implementation of non-pharmaceutical interventions still remains an important prevention strategy, while various vaccine candidates are either approved or in clinical trials, several drugs are also being tested in pre-clinical studies for their potential for repurposing to treat the coronavirus disease 2019. The mechanistic details underlying disease pathogenesis and therapeutic efficacy of various drugs are rapidly emerging, which will be useful for fast-tracking pharmaceutical leads to clinical utility. The current review details the mechanistic understanding of viral pathogenesis including host cell interactions, viral replication, altered host cell processes, cytokine release syndrome and the role of coagulation pathway, renin angiotensin system and kallikrein-bradykinin pathways in acute respiratory distress syndrome. Further, a detailed overview of therapeutic candidates including antibodies, targeted enzyme inhibitors, drugs that showed clinical efficacy and drugs with anti-severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 activities in pre-clinical models are discussed. Additionally, the approval and availability of various vaccines and their mechanism of action are also detailed. Importantly, emerging clinical evidence regarding immune biomarkers that help in patient stratification into moderate or severe cases are highlighted that may aid in reducing mortality by choosing appropriate treatment strategies. Taken together, the report gives up to date mechanistic information on disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutics. © 2021 Indian Pharmaceutical Association. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the businesses across the world. Entrepreneurs have also faced both opportunities and consequences in the face of this global crisis. A systematic literature review was performed in this study to examine how resilience and other entrepreneurial skills have helped entrepreneurs emerge out of the crisis. For this purpose, 15 papers were reviewed that revealed resilience, innovativeness, flexibility, perseverance and change readiness as the main characteristics of the entrepreneurs that have helped them use the opportunities provide by the crisis. The researcher has highlighted the need for increase in research regarding resilience development and skills post the crisis occurrence. The implications and limitations of the study have also been mentioned by the researcher. © 2021. All Rights Reserved.
